#AMonthofFaves (Winter reads)

I am joining this year’s hosts Girlxoxo and Traveling with T for their annual #AMonthofFaves blog event. They have a schedule of topics planned, so bloggers can join in anytime for some or all of the topics.

Winter Reads

I don't tend to read "holiday" books or books that fit the season. This is what last winter looked like...

December

In December of last year, I read one winter-related book, One Day in December, but I also read some inspirational books: Educated, Becoming, A Very Large Expanse of Sea, Speak (graphic novel), and This is How it Always Is.

January
As a second round judge for the CYBIL Awards, I read a bunch of YA, middle grade, and elementary graphic novels. Participating in that process is so much fun and I am looking forward to participating again as a second round judge, but for YA fiction this time.

I also read Hero Dogs, one of my favorite books of this past year and I read my brother's first novel, Fire Priest, which felt really special.

This year feels about the same, but I've been reading less. I hope that my upcoming Winter break will fix that.
