So you want to know about me....
I live in Santa Barbara, California and appreciate that fact every single day! I love the weather, the lifestyle, that we're close to the beach (it's a 10 minute walk from my house), and pretty much everything about it. However, I really love to travel and have been to almost all the continents; I try to take 3 trips a year and am usually looking for somewhere new and different to go. We usually like to go to cities where we can explore, go to museums, shop, and enjoy the hustle and bustle, but sometimes go off the beaten path for a change.
I am a single mom with an 11-year old daughter. We share a house with my parents and all feel very lucky (most of the time) to live in a multi-generational household. In addition to traveling, we both love to read and dance (she is MUCH better than me) while I am really into photography.
I taught high school World History and American Government for 14 years before becoming the Teacher Librarian at the same high school (go San Marcos Royals!) in August 2008. I am loving the change and spending my days organizing, buying books, talking to students about reading, playing with technology, and working with classroom teachers. I belong to two book groups so keep super busy with all the reading I do! And, now I've added blogging to my day!
