I had such high hopes for myself doing 20 books this summer. And then realized that I read the first couple before June 1, so they didn't count. And then the World Cup began and my reading dropped hugely. I was truly worried that I wouldn't reach much, but in the end I read 22 books for this challenge!
In the image below are the 16 books from my TBR shelves that I planned to complete by August 31. Obviously, I am not good at sticking to the pile I set out for myself.
Books I read for this challenge:
- Good Joy, Bad Joy by Mikki Brammer
- We Were Never Friends by Kaira Rouda
- Annie Knows Everything by Rachel Wood
- Murder and the Media: Behind the Scenes of Four High Profile Murders by Allison Hope Weiner
- Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke
- Once and Future Riot by Joe Sacco
- The Celebrants by Steven Rowley
- Daughters of the Sun and Moon by Lisa See
- If Something Happens to Me by Alex Finlay
- Gracie Jenkins Runs a Marathon by Penny Mirren
- Mask of the Deer Woman by Laurie L. Dove
- More Than Enough by Anna Quindlen
- I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jeannette McCurdy
- The Shippers by Katherine Center
- Culpability by Bruce Holsinger
