Top Ten Tuesday: Books set outside the country in which I live

I absolutely LOVE reading books set in countries outside the United States. I like reading, geography, and maps so I make sure to write the location of each book I read in the review and I place my books on a Google map each year. This Top Ten Tuesday is for me!

Looking back through my books I realize how many books I have loved over the years; narrowing this down to 10 was very difficult for me. In fact, I have guilt for leaving books off this list. :-)

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman (UK, adult)

Shangahi Girls by Lisa See (US and China, adult)

The Samurai's Garden by Gail Tsukiyama (Japan, adult)

The Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda (India, adult)

In the Country We Love by Diane Guerrero (Columbia, adult/YA non-fiction)

City of Saints and Thieves by Natalie Anderson (Congo and Kenya, YA)

Diamond Boy by Michael Williams (Zimbabwe, YA)

An Uninterrupted View of the Sky by Melanie Crowder (Bolivia, YA)

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (Lithuania, YA, WWII)

City of Veils by Zoe Ferraris (Saudi Arabia, adult, mystery)

Lucy and Linh by Alice Pung (Australia, YA)
