It's Monday! What are you reading?

This meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey

Books read last week: I participated in the Dewey Read-a-Thon, but didn't get to devote as much time to it as I had hoped. Oh well, the books I read were good.
Books currently reading:
  • Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris
  • The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis (my daughter is reading it aloud to me)
Books waiting in the wings:
  • Disobedience by Jane Hamilton (for my Book Group)
  • Fade to Blue by Bill Moody (Suspense/Mystery Challenge)--on my computer so I am having issues getting around to reading it

The Breadwinner is my favorite in the trilogy, but you may want to read the other two, if you like this first one. I think Deborah Ellis is a wonderful writer.

How is that we never get to read as much as we plan at the readathon? It happened to me too :)

A Thousand Sisters sounds good!

Bonnie--So far I am really enjoying the Breadwinner and, more important, so is my daughter

Jennifer--Have a great week, I am off to see your list

Sheila--A Thousand Sisters is your kind of book

Aleetha--Thank you for stopping by, I am always amazed when I see a list of books that I haven't heard of. I enjoy that too though it usually adds to my TBR list

As this week I was mostly writing for my projects, my list of finished books isn't as bloated with homework.. Come see what I finished.

I haven't participated in a readathon, I like the concept but know I'm lucky to find 2 hours a weekend to read and I don't want to listen for 24 hours (my ears would hurt!). :)

SO glad you enjoyed A Thousand Sisters

Pussreboots--some day your project will end and you'll have this free time for reading...

Lori--I'll go over and check out your list now

Aths--A Thousand Sisters is a book I think you'd like

Mari--I don't think of the read-a-thon as 24 hours, more like 8 to 10 then it isn't so overwhelming

I have a few ebooks on my computer and feel the same as you do about getting around to them. It's so much easier to pick up a book than to stare at a screen for hours on end. Maybe I just have a mental block about this?

Shirley--I got a bunch of books, mostly mysteries, from NetGalley and have read two of them, but the rest I haven't gotten to since they are on the computer. I agree, the thought of looking at the screen for a few more hours just doesn't sound too appealing. But, they are books I really want to read!

Chasing Windmills and A Thousand Sisters both sound really good - but what I think is fantastic is your Google Map! What a great idea!

Kristi--Both of them were really good. And, I must confess that I am enjoying doing the map. There is something satisfying about placing each thumb tack on the globe!
