Bloggiesta: another update

I feel so good about what I've done in the last hour or so. I braced myself and decided to design a business card for myself (thank you for your inspiration Sheila of Book Journey!). As I went to type the blog URL on the image I realized that I should decide if I was going to stick with helensbookblog.blogspot.com or bite the bullet and go with a personalized URL of helensbookblog.com

This was the perfect time to make the leap (thank you Bloggiesta!). Here's what I've got/done:

  • URL change: I've set the wheels in motion for a URL change (I'll post when it's official)
  • Business Card: I've completed the business card design (see below). I couldn't perfectly match the blog name font, but I still think it looks pretty good
  • Blog email: I've got an email account for my blog, which came automatically with the personalized URL

I must say, I do love Google! And, I am quite pleased with myself. I feel like this is me really committing to the long-term of my blog and that feels so good!

Yay! Congrats on the new URL! And I think your business card looks great! I can't wait to see it in person. :)

I'm thinking of getting a domain for my blog too, but I don't know if I'm ready yet! I'm liking the business card!

Alyssa and Trish--thank you! I ended up having to re do it a couple times to get everything to fit within the trim lines. Note: always check the site's requirements BEFORE you design the card!

Marie--I did the personal domain through blogger so it's only $10 a year and blogger made it really easy (she says before it's all complete)
