Maya Angelou on the run...

Call me monogomous, but I don't usually have two books going at once (and I currently do) and I don't usually post random thoughts when I'm in the middle of a book. But... I am reading Catching Fire and am having a REALLY tough time putting it down! What is it about Suzanne Collins' books that just suck me right in?!

I am also "reading" Maya Angelou's Letter to My Daughter (did you know she doesn't have a daughter?) on audio as I drive to and from work. I must say, I miss listening to NPR, but the book is really interesting.

Do you usually have more than one book going at once? And what do you think about audio books?

I normally have several books on the go at once - 1 hardback to read when sitting, one light paperback to read in bed and often a badly damaged book to read in the bath!

I also normally have an audio book to listen to as well - I love them! It is hard to find books that work well on audio, so I think it is important to do your research before starting them. When you find a good one then it is even better than reading the book! Enjoy!

In the past year I seem to be reading more books at the same time. It's not something I like to do, but I can't seem to stop myself!

I'm reading two books at once right now, a regular downtime read, and I also read War and Peace for 15 minutes a day.

I think a lot of people do a fine job with reading more than one book at a time.

I so need to pick up a Suzanne Collins book. I feel like the only one on the planet who hasn't read her yet!

I am monogamous with my books too! I seem to enjoy books more when I read them one at a time.

I have recently started listening to audiobooks and I do read one book and listen to one at the same time. I would agree with Jackie that audiobooks seem to be more hit or miss but when they are good, they are great!

Farmlane, softdrink, April, I discovered that I can do two books at once! It definitely helped that one was an audio.

Dolcebellezza, I finished Catching Fire yesterday afternoon (review to come today). Give them a try; they are not typical science fiction

Booksnyc, I don't think of myself as someone who enjoys audio books, but I did like this one. Now I'll have to try more of them
