I've loved watching the Olympics, especially speed skating, but curling, snowboarding (big air), ski jumping, cross-country skiing/biathlon, and more have captured my attention as well. Are you watching the Olympics? What are you enjoying?
I did not watch the Super Bowl, but I did watch the half-time show. It felt like a love letter to Latino culture, and I thought it was great. Multigenerational dancers, a bodega, field workers, great music, and flags of North and South America. All good.
I've been steeped in coordinating our alumni scholarships this past week: collecting applications, scoring them, arranging interviewers, and scheduling 70 student interviews. Whew. It's a ton of work, but it's so great to help so many students reach their college goals.
It's Valentine's Day. Tonight, a friend and I are headed to the symphony, which is playing scores from various movies. Should be fun.
