I learned about a Tumblr account for YA books on Twitter the other day and thought I'd pass it on: https://recitrachel.tumblr.com/. She lists upcoming YA books and you can sort by all sorts of categories.

My life outside books:

Christmas was a quiet affair this year with just me and my parents, but we did manage to face time with my daughter (who is in Oman) and our family in the UK and Austria. Santa was good to all of us, with lottery tickets (not a single winner, no surprise), cozy clothes, puzzles, and books. Of course, we had the obligatory paper hats.

Here are the books I received; my parents did a great job of getting YA and adult, fiction and nonfiction.

I spent Saturday with a friend with whom I used to teach and we had a lovely day. We did an escape room! I've never done one, but it was really fun and we solved it and got out with one minute to spare.
