Book Beginnings: April 6, 2012

This week I am back to reading a book on my iPad. It's been a while since I've done that, but this one's for my book group.

"1975: April 9. Leeds: 'Motorway City of the Seventies.' A proud slogan. No irony intended. Gaslight still flickering on some streets. Life in a northern town."

Not a great opening, but it's already got 2 things going for it: 1975 (the year I was 10, so good memories) and it's set in Britain (where all my family lives and I go often).
