What's Hot in my school library

I just read the list of the top 25 books circulating over at My Head is Full of Books' school library and I thought it was a great idea. So, here are the 25 books that have been checked out the most since school began in late August:

  1. Always Running: La Vida loca: gang days in LA by Luis Rodriguez
  2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  3. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  4. A Child Called "It": one child's courage to survive by David Pelzer
  5. Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
  6. Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles
  7. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
  8. The Lost Boy: a foster child's search for the love of a family by David Pelzer
  9. Feed by MT Anderson
  10. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
  11. The Help by Kathryn Stockkett
  12. Impulse by Ellen Hopkins
  13. A Million LIttle Pieces by James Frey
  14. Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
  15. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  16. Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles

  18. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
  19. The Fredom Writers Diary by the Freedom Writers
  20. Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

  22. The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
  23. The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros

Such an interesting mix of genres on this list! I am surprised that there aren't more paranormal and supernatural books.
