Sunday Salon: We're close to the end...

Family and Life:
Hmmmm.... what did I do this past week? Not much, I don't think. That's either really sad that I didn't do anything extraordinary or really exciting that the week flew by so quickly! Today I am thinking of heading out to our local airport. You see, they are building a new, more modern terminal and I just learned they are going to tear down the old one. That makes me sad so I thought I'd go out and take some photos before part of our local history disappears.

Yesterday we decided to chop down a Giant Bird of Paradise and I got my daughter to do the chopping of the tallest/biggest part! Gotta' love the post-dance-rehearsal outfit (with onion goggles to protect her eyes)

Work:
My library has been closed much of the past two weeks with AP testing so it felt really good on Friday to be open for the students all day. We are definitely getting close to the end of the school year though as textbooks are starting to come in, seniors are definitely looking past graduation (and forgetting that they are still in high school), and I can tell the staff is feeling it too.

Books and Reading:
Aths from Reading on a Rainy Day and I have announced our Shantaram read-a-long and hope some of you will join us.

Summer is definitely in the air here, too. Both of my daughters are slipping into summer mode, I think! Must be my bad influence -- we finish about 4 weeks before they do, so they start to feel the relaxed vibe early. Have a great week!

Love the pictures! Especially the first one, where your daughter looks really really snazzy! I'm still catching up with all the posts!

Very cute photos! My kids are excited about the end of the school year too and have been counting down the days.

Col--I can't imagine having 4 weeks of no work while my daughter was in school! Do you go back way before them too?

Aths--Snazzy is a great word for her dancer/lumberjack outfit :-)

Alyce--The senior in particular are counting down days to graduation!
