The link-up will be here at A Few More Pages every Friday.

I loved Gayle Forman's If I Stay and eagerly awaited the sequel, Where She Went. I am finally getting to it!

"Every morning I wake up and I tell myself this: it's just one day, one twenty-four hour period to get yourself through."

I am only about 68 pages in and so far it's pretty good though not quite living up to the first book. However, I have an open mind and am looking forward to some reading time.

Doesn't sound like she's looking forward to it though....

I'm just starting one based on Sherlock Holmes: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/05/book-beginnings-on-friday.html

That's a very dark beginning. I also really like "If I stay", so maybe I'll give this one a try too.

I just bought If I Stay earlier this week. I can't wait to read both.

Anyway, that is a fabulous beginning, as I know there have been times I've felt the same way.

Always a shame when the sequel doesn't quite live up to expectations but fingers crossed it just gets better from p68 onwards!

Bev--I must confess to never reading any Sherlock Holmes! Yikes.

Mostraum--It is a dark beginning, but the book isn't dark so far (now I'm up to page 100 or so)

Laurel-Rain--Glad you came by!

Ham--If I Stay really is a very good book, I hope you enjoy it

Book Gatherer--It's definitely getting better now that I am more into it!
