Book Beginnings: May 20, 2011

This meme is hosted by Katy at A Few More Pages
How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are currently reading. Include the title and the author so we know what you're reading. Then, if you feel so moved, let us know what your first impressions were based on that first line, and let us know if you liked or did not like the sentence. The link-up will be here at A Few More Pages every Friday.

I was going to start my book group book, but realize that I am in the mood for some fun YA so I am going to read Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

"Here is everything I know about France: Madeline and Amelie and Moulin Rouge. The Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, although I have no idea what the function of either actually is."

Totally fun start! I think it's cute and sassy and really sets the tone for the book. I am about 40 pages in and enjoying it.

haha - great opening. Not sure I'd know the function of each either to be honest! Sounds like a perfect weekend read!
