Four Things--a meme

Four jobs I've had in my life:
  1. McDonalds (I earned $2.35/hour as a freshman in high school)
  2. Working in the mail room in College
  3. Events coordinator for perspective freshmen at the University of California, Santa Barbara
  4. Selling concert t-shirts at our local concert venue

Four books I would read over and over:
  1. I'll be honest here, I am not a re-reader of books. But if I had to... the Harry Potter series and Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams
  2.

Four places I have lived:

  1. New London, Connecticut (for college)
  2. Bonn, West Germany (junior year in college and I know, now it's just Germany)
  3. Vienna, Austria (junior year in college)
  4. London, England

Four books I would recommend:

  1. Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams
  2. Harry Potter series
  3. The Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda
  4. Michael Morpurgo's books

Four places I have been:

  1. Macchu Picchu
  2. Angor Wat
  3. Taj Mahal
  4. Grand Mosque in Muscat, Oman

Four of my favorite foods:

  1. Mexican food (especially burritos)
  2. Italian food (especially margharita pizza)
  3. York Peppermint patties
  4. Broccoli

Four of my favorite drinks:

  1. Water
  2. Sprite (but only with pizza or Mexican food)

Four places I would rather be right now:

  1. Reading at home
  2. Walking on the beach in 75 degree weather
  3. London hanging out with my brother and his family
  4. Playing "hair salon" with my daughter

Four things that are very special in my life:

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. Reading
  4. Learning about technology (is that lame?)

Four bloggers I hope will do this meme: (boy this was tough to list just 4!)

  1. Aths from Reading on a Rainy Day
  2. Carina from Reading through Life
  3. Jill from Fizzy Thoughts
  4. Miss A (Ari) from Reading in Color

I love this!

We have a couple in common, I'm a bit green over your travels but my time is coming, and no it's not lame to think learning about technology is special

I think you're the most well traveled person I know! Where are you going next?

I am definitely going to participate! Especially since I'm review less....

I'm also green with traveler envy over all the places you've visited (and everyday I grow more and more envious of all the books you read). I would love to be on a beach with 70-75 degree weather. It's about 30 degress and thunderstorming in the Chi tonight....

Jill--This summer is much less exotic, but I am SO looking forward to it: Orcas Island in Puget Sound, WA

Ari--We had hot (80 degrees) on the weekend and now it's foggy again. The weekend was such a teaser...

I've never been to Taj Mahal! I keep saying some day ... Like you, I would also reread the HP books but can't think of any others.

Aths--It's funny, the HP books are on almost all the lists for re-reading that I have seen!
