Sunday Salon: performing

Family and Life:
My daughter and I went to a dance show Friday night, Dance Teachers Gone Wild, in which all the dance teachers at her studio performed. It was fun to see them doing their thing rather than just teaching our children. Saturday was a busy one for my daughter and she woke up with a slight fever. I know she'll choose to power through it all, but I hope it doesn't do her in: a 3-hour rehearsal for a show she is in and then a trip to LA to see a private screening of the new Justin Bieber movie. She is so excited for both activities!

Work:
There's some tense stuff going on at work and luckily I am only on the periphery. I wish it would just go away, but it can't.

Books and Reading:
I've done a fair bit of reading this week (all to be revealed on Monday) and couldn't stop myself from buying two books that look really good. And, I LOVE the covers of both of them!

    Hi Helen,

Your dance review with teachers performing sounded fun, but sorry to hear that things are a bit tense at work.

Hope you have a good week and enjoy your new books.

Little Princes is AWESOME! You'll love it! I'm not too far into it, but it looks promising so far.

I hope your daughter's fine now. Having a fever sucks!

Kathmeista--I am so bad; I really do choose books by their cover sometimes. I hope the work stuff goes away soon, too

Diane--It was really great to see Sophia's dance community come together for the teachers

Amanda--I liked the movie of Kabul Beauty School so I am looking forward to Cup of Friendship

Aths--Little Princes is going to be my kind of book, I can just tell. Sophia's got quite the flu bug and will even miss school tomorrow (only her second day ever!)

O A Cup of Friendship sure is cute. And that little cute baby on the cover! So cute.

Juju-Yes, I am guilty of judging a book (or two or three) by its cover!
