Flashback Challenge completed!

Another challenge that I signed up for is the Flashback Challenge, which ran January through December 2010

The idea was to re-read books from various stages of our lives. I am not a big re-reader of books so I went for the lowest level for this challenge: Bookworm status. I was to re-read one book from my childhood, one from high school, and one from adulthood.

1. Childhood: James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. This book is wonderful, of course. When my mom saw that I was re-reading it she told me that I met Roald Dahl! We lived in England when I was in 7th grade and I guess I got to meet him at a book signing. So sad that I have no memory of that (however, I do completely remember meeting Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave the same year).
2. High School: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. A classic! And the movie is so good as well.
3. Adulthod: Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver. I was really afraid to re-read this one since I have always claimed it is one of my favorites of all time. It did not disappoint!

Darlyn-Mockingbird really is good. Not my favorite of all time or anything, but so many interesting parts

Aths--I had a difficult time getting into this challenge too since I am not a re-reader. But I did enjoy it once I got going

Deepali--It was a fun challenge, wasn't it? I am not usually a re-reader so it did feel strange to me.
