National Dance Day!

I am a So You Think You Can Dance (Fox TV) addict. There. I've said it out loud. And, sadly the SYTYCD Tour in Los Angeles is on a Tuesday night so I can't go.

But, it's National Dance Day (even recognized by Congress) and I just saw a post about it by Michelle at My Books. My Life and I was inspired to do the same. Across the country and the world people are celebrating dance. Do you dance? I certainly do. I danced from age 4 off and on, mostly modern, jazz, and as an adult, swing. In fact, I was in a performance dance troupe for a few years and only quit when I gave birth to my daughter. Some of my favorite memories are of dancing, whether it was in formal classes or with friends at parties and school dances.

Sadly, I don't have any photos of me dancing. So, you'll just have to use your imagination. Ok, enough. Go dance. Right now. Turn on some music and do your thing. Let it all out. I know that's what I'm about to do!

I dance too, or rather danced for about 10-15 years. I didn't like it much growing up, but I love it so much now. I wish I had pursued it more seriously and continued it all these years.

Aths--How come each time we reveal something about ourselves we discover the other one does it too?! The great thing about dance is that it's something you can do all your life, even if it's just for pleasure in our own houses!
