Blogging Buddies

On Ex Libris I just read about this really fun idea: Blogging Buddies!

Star Shadow is going to play matchmaker with Book Bloggers. We fill in a form about our reading interests and she will pair us up. We can support one another, send book gifts (if we want to), etc. Everyone is welcome to join, you can even state your preference whether you would like to be paired with someone living in your own country or distance and shipping costs not mattering that much with anyone.

If you are interested head on over to Star Shadow and fill out the form! And if you think this is a fantastic initiative please help spreading the word so many other bloggers will get to know about it!

I've signed up and hope you will too!

But I've already chosen YOU as my book blogging buddy! Well, one of two. I have only a very few bloggers on my sidebar as "blogs I read regularly," and you and Bookfool are the only BOOK bloggers among them. Some of the links you see there are my own blogs, like Book Buddies (my online book club discussion spot) and Joyful Noiseletter (where I write about words that fascinate me) and Banned Books (where some of us share reviews) and Book Club of St. Elmo (where I keep track of what my face-to-face book club reads).

Okay, I'll go read about blogging buddies, but first I must go to the library. Today I'll be behind the desk and helping patrons with computers and finding books, while the two paid workers take turns going to lunch -- I volunteered because the third employee at our branch is on vacation until Wednesday.

Bonnie--you made my day! Thank you so much for the friendship and the vote of confidence! I am glad to have joined Banned Books as well since that is an interest of mine.

Suko and Aths--it does sound like fun, doesn't it?! I like the intrigue of who they will "fix me up with".
