- American Hagwon by Min Jin Lee
We had our first storm of the year (very early!), and it bucketed rain on the day I was scheduled to play golf. So, that didn't happen. I did fit in a golf clinic and two days of dance, so that was nice.
This month has been a sad one with four deaths of people in my sphere, three of whom I've known since childhood (my parents' generation). I feel like their generation is dying and disappearing (dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc). I had three memorials just this week. It's a lot.
The memorials were balanced out by a Friday night gathering with some of my high school classmates at a famous local Mexican restaurant (the others went on to the high school football game), followed by a "Night at the Movies" at my dance studio. Many of us made "movies" of us dancing, and we gathered to watch them all. Super fun and lots of laughing and smiling. I'll try to get my video and post it here next week. And last night, I went to the local symphony and heard Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich. Excellent.
