• Missing Sam by Thrity Umrigar
• The French Illusion by John Grisham

Finally, Goodreads has added the ability to do quarter and half stars! Wahooooooo! I went back and changed all of the books I've read this year to match my blog. Will I go back further than 2026? Probably not, but maybe if I get a wild hair and have nothing better to do, I'll start working backward. Will you bother to change your book ratings?

My sweet Poppy at the vet's office Fall display (right before she started vomiting in reaction to a vaccine, poor thing) and after the grooming appointment where, obviously, there was a miscommunication between the groomer (again, poor thing!) and me. I keep telling myself it's just hair. Hair grows back.

It was a busy week for me with lunch with a friend, a board meeting, dance a couple of days, a get-together with former colleagues, the homecoming football game of my alma mater (we presented our alumni Wall of Fame inductees and had a reception for them), a professor slam (so much fun!), and a historical dinner. Whew!
