Well, it's been quite a week. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, I had food poisoning. So not fun. And it's tiring. I took the next day off work to recoup (my first sick day in 4 years at this company). It took me until Friday night to feel back to normal
I was set to go to Arizona this weekend to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday, but Wednesday night, my mom was admitted to the hospital with bacterial pneumonia, so I stayed home. Things do change in the blink of an eye. She is getting great care and will probably come home on Monday.
To add insult to injury, at 3:00am Saturday morning, the batteries in one of my smoke alarms went off. I do love staggering around the house looking for the ladder and batteries to fix it. Then I lie awake wondering if all the other alarms will also go off at intervals (they did not).
Since I had no plans on the calendar except my vacation, I am spending the time with my parents and doing odd jobs around the house, like cleaning the fridge and changing out alarm batteries.
