My mom is home from hospital, and I'd say each day sees a tiny improvement. This experience has reiterated again the benefits of retirement home living: companionship, health care, and services. All so important as we age. If she had been in her own home, it would have been much more difficult (and much more work for me as I would have had to move in for a bit to cook, clean, etc).
My alumni association determined our $270,000 in scholarships this week. I do love giving away (someone else's) money!
