Last Sunday evening, I attended an event to honor the top 150 athletes of the past 150 years of my alma mater. I'll confess that I am glad someone else bought my ticket, as it was a (too) expensive event and I got a bit bored. However, it was fun to meet up with the guy from my graduating class who was being honored. We didn't know each other in high school, and he doesn't come to our reunions, so we joked that it took us 42 years to meet!
Last night I went to our local symphony and heard Mozart's Requiem. Pretty incredible.
Since we're halfway through November, I took a hard look at my challenges for this year to see what I still need to do. I will not finish them all. I never do. Do you have suggestions to satisfy any of these?
- Alphabet (Author)--I, X, Y, Z
- Alphabet (Title)--U, V, X, Z
- Cover Love--Skeleton, plaid, object from a kid's room, TV or Movie screen, one of the seasons
- Literary Escapes--AK, DE, IO, KS, MI, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NV, OR, SD, WY
- Nonfiction--gardens and islands
And, of course, I am starting to decide which reading challenges to do in 2026. What are your favorite reading challenges?
