This week's host is Rebekah (She Seeks Nonfiction).
Week 4: (November 17 to November 23) – Nonfiction books are one of the best tools for seeing the world through someone else’s eyes. They allow us to get an idea of the experiences of people of all different ages, races, genders, abilities, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, or even just people with different opinions than ours. Is there a book you read this year from a diverse author, or a book that opened your eyes to a perspective that you hadn’t considered? How did it challenge you to think differently?
This year, I have read nonfiction that opened my eyes to people who are different from me; it's one of the things I like most about reading in general and nonfiction specifically.
People who are brave and stand up for what is right
People of a different belief system from my own
Science and Scientists and their impact
People whose lives are so very different from my own
