This week was calmer than last week, which felt good. And work was a bit insane, so having time out of work be a bit calmer was nice. Last Sunday, I went for walks with some teaching friends and with my dad later in the day.
I had a golf lesson with a friend, 2 dance classes, 2 board meetings, an exhibit and reception. Hmmm. When I list it all, it doesn't sound so calm. 🤣
Yesterday was an awesome day! I attended the No Kings rally in my town. I have attended a ton of protests/rallies in my life and have never seen one with so many people before! I think there were 13,000 people there (for an area of 150,000, that's pretty damn good!). The best part is that there were a ton of young people, which isn't always the case.
As soon as the rally was over, I drove down to Los Angeles and attended a B-52s and Devo concert at the Hollywood Bowl with two of my best women friends from high school. It was so much fun. I spent the night in LA and came home late this morning in time to help my parents move a bunch of stuff out of storage.
