One of my best friends of 47 years (since 8th grade!) passed away last Sunday evening, so today I am flying to Phoenix for her service. It doesn't seem real and I cannot imagine a world without Kelly in it. She and I called one another kin-twins as we had the same birthday (15 hours apart to the minute) and shared many similarities in our lives. I am so glad that we got to celebrate one last (big) birthday together, only two weeks ago, and that I said all the things I wanted to say. Hug and love those you love dear.
On a more positive note, my daughter and her boyfriend arrive tonight. We're meeting up in Los Angeles as I fly in from Phoenix (yes, a one-day trip), and they will be here for a week. Happy mama! And later this coming week, my brother and his kids arrive, so I am looking forward to a week of love and happiness.
