Last Sunday's birthday dinner with my parents was nice. Throughout this past week I played golf, danced, hung out with a couple long-time friends who were in town, and went to a friend's birthday (pool) party. Today another friend is getting married. I haven't been to a wedding in a really long time (that's what happens when you are 60 and the daughter and nieces aren't at that stage yet).
Facebook. Drives me crazy and I don't like the idea of supporting Zuckerburg, but I must say that when one's birthday rolls around it is awfully nice to hear from so many people. I know we may just click "post" for people's birthdays, but (at least for me) it means that I think about them for a bit. What a nice feeling that all those people thought about us for a brief moment on our special day.
I haven't read much lately and I think it's because I need mindless escapism. Instead I've been watching TV. Over the past few weeks I've finished New Tricks (Brit Box), Outrageous (Brit Box), and I am currently watching Bad Sisters (AppleTV). I recommend all of them! I also watched Stick and Happy Gilmore, which were ok.
