It has been a busy week! Sunday started with a fantastic symphony concert (Bach, Dvorák, and the premier of a lesser-known composer), and on Monday, I had a board meeting.
Tuesday, I flew to Boston, where I worked during the day and hung out with 2 of my best friends from college in the evening. We had so much fun catching up on life. I love the juxtaposition of the old historical buildings with the modern skyscrapers.
California observation: I always forget that East Coasters actively avoid eye contact. I am so used to people on the streets smiling and saying hello. Maybe it's just the big cities? And it was sooooo much colder than I packed for, hitting highs of only 51 degrees. In late May!
I stumbled upon this fantastic sculpture and loved its description.
Friday, I drove to Middletown, Connecticut, and met up with my brother and his family for his middle child's graduation from Wesleyan University later today. It was wonderful to see them all and to launch another in that generation into adulthood (one more to go).
