- Dream Count by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Last Sunday I got to hang out with my parents on Mother's Day evening, which was very nice.
Monday was my in-person book group. I hadn't read the book (a JoJo Moyes, someone whose books I have enjoyed in the past), but the evening was enjoyable as always.
Tuesday and Wednesday was golf. I had a more-than-off day as we played 9 holes, but still had a good time with the other women and being outside and away from a computer screen. I had invited a long-time (past) colleague and friend to play and it was great to spend time with her. We'll play again in a couple of weeks.
Friday I was finally back at dance. Yay! My ear is still giving me trouble since flying with the start of a head cold but a doctor friend gave me some stuff to do to try to dry it out before I fly again on Tuesday. I also had dinner with two long-time colleagues/friends. It was so great to catch up.
Saturday I attended a fundrasier/gala for our local Community College. The theme was James Bond so everyone was decked out in their finary. Our group closed down the dance floor and that's always a good thing. I also ran into someone I went to high school with that I hadn't seen in more than 10 years so it was great to reconnect with him.
