- Everything is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of our Deadliest Infection by John Green
- Brownstone by Samuel Teer, illustrated by Mar Julia
- Twenty-Four Seconds from Now by Jason Reynolds
I was on vacation for a bit of last week, and it was so relaxing that I didn't do a Sunday Salon! I also didn't read, but that's ok since I had a wonderful time. I did come home with a cold, which was made worse by flying. Oh well.
I have been so busy lately (learn to say no, Helen) that I haven't been reading much.
- Golf. It's getting more and more fun. Mondays are group clinics, some Tuesdays I am doing GNO (Girls Night Out) where we play 9 holes in scramble style, then Wednesdays I have a lesson.
- Dance. I had grand plans to dance Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but my cough and snot-head are bad enough that I decided that close contact with dance partners should be off the table. Bummer.
- Nonprofits--spring is a busy time for both of the nonprofit boards that I am on. We give out our scholarships and fellowships, and yesterday I worked the tables for both groups at our local Community History Day event.
- Family. My parents have signed a contract for a retirement home (they got a 2-bedroom plus an office at the last minute!), so helping them figure out what to take, how it will fit, and other logistics takes time and energy. Credit to my mother, who is doing the bulk of the work.
Saturday night I will attend a mother's day dinner with friends and on Sunday I'll visit with my best friend and my parents.
