This week was a little less busy than last except that yesterday I traveled across the country (2.5 hour bus to Los Angeles, flight to Newark, and a flight to Ithaca) to stay with my daughter for a couple weeks. I love that my remote job allows me to work from wherever I am (even though it means packing 2 laptops and all the work stuff). The whole trip here went smoothly and, though it's really cold, I am so glad to be here. And I am missing the insane rain that is supposed to hit Santa Barbara today (they even have evacuation orders for parts of town).
This week I went to my dance class (and will try to convince my daughter to attend classes while I am in Ithaca), visited with a couple friends, attended an art show and dinner, and had my parents over for dinner (bless my mom, she spent the night Friday so she could drive me to my 5:30am bus).
I watched a sweet new movie on Prime: The Holdovers. Have you seen it? They did a great job of capturing 1970 and the cast is wonderful.
I brought 5 physical books with me on this trip. I plan to leave them in various locations as I finish them. That ought to lighten my suitcase!
