Sunday Salon: January 29, 2023

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz hosts The Sunday Salon.

The second half of my Ithaca, NY visit was really fun. My daughter started her PhD program so I had some time to myself to work (that feels good to say), read, do errands for her, etc. Sunday night it snowed so we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland. It was my first time driving in the snow!

I flew home and have jumped right in to all the stuff that we do when we're home plus working on my 40th high school reunion. How is it possible that I have been out of high school for 40 years?! I know a number of you are my age or close to it, but it sure doesn't feel that way, does it!

Last night I had a group of women friends over for dinner (black bean chili, cornbread, salad) and games. We played Cards Against Humanity and laughed a lot. Very fun. Today I am headed out to a work meeting and then a walk with a bunch of women friends.

How is it the end of January?! The image above is the books I hoped to read in January. I did well, reading those plus the CYBILS graphic novels and a few others. I did not read Mad Honey (yet).
The image above is my February books plus one yet-to-be-determined book group book.

Here is is the current state of my 2023 challenges. At this point, I am counting individual books for multiple categories in each challenge, but I'll replace them with other books throughout the year.
