Sunday Salon: July 3, 2022

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz hosts The Sunday Salon.

Our day trip to Los Angeles last Sunday was fun. We tried out new (to me) bakeries: Paris Baguette (a Korean chain) and 85 Degrees (a Taiwanese-owned chain), both of which were yummy. We also hit Daiso Japan, a Japanese catch-all store where we found some good stuff for my daughter's new apartment.

I went for walks with two friends, one a former colleague and one from high school. Todd and I are reconnecting after many, many years of not being in touch and it's fun; we get along just like we did in high school. I met a guy on one of my walk/jogs back in early May and he has invited me to join the group for their Saturday morning workouts and post-workout coffee shop time. I was brave yesterday and joined them. They seem like a really nice group of people who are all smart and interesting (and welcoming). No surprise, they are all couples, but I didn't feel like the odd woman out so that is nice. I think I'll go again next weekend.

I am so far behind on reading people's blogs it's overwhelming. I may just mark them all as read and start over with people's Sunday Salon's. Please don't be offended! This past week was so busy at work and in the evenings, I've been with my daughter.

It's July! The image above is of the books I planned to read in June. I did well and read all of them except the Customer Success book for work.

This image is of the books I hope to read in July. It may be a bit ambitious given that I tend to read less when my daughter is in town. But, we're already listening to Emily Henry's Book Lovers, which isn't in my stack. Have you read any of these?

Here is is the current state of my 2022 challenges. The image is a link to my challenges page.
