Sunday Salon: November 14, 2021

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz hosts The Sunday Salon.

It was a busy week of subbing (special education, study hall, AP Spanish, woodshop, AVID, and world history), but we also had a holiday on Thursday for Veterans' Day so that was a welcome break. I went for a number of walks with friends this week, which is always fun, and I have been reconnecting with a friend from high school, which has been wonderful.

I got back into my Saturday swim/Sunday bike routine this weekend after minor injuries kept me from it the past couple of weeks. The images above are from this morning's bike ride. Though it is November, we're having a little heat wave, setting records for the past 2 with temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s.

I am currently doing a read-along of Without You, There is No Us with Anne from My Head is Full of Books, which is fun. I forgot how much I like interacting with someone else as I read a book.

While I was subbing at one of our junior highs this week, I raided their library for books that would help me complete some of my challenges (think difficult letters for titles and author's last names). Joyride, Vandalism, and Sit (listed above) all fit that category. I knew Joyride and Vandalism weren't going to be great books for me, but Sit was really good and a delightful surprise.

Here's my challenge update. The image is a link to my challenge page.
