Sunday Salon: April 18, 2021

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz runs The Sunday Salon.

I've had a nice weekend so far. Yesterday I went on a walk in a local preserve with a good friend that I have hardly seen in person over the past year. It feels so good to be able to see friends now that we are all at least 2 weeks past our second vaccinations.

I also ventured to Costco for the first time in a year. Wait. I may have gone once near the beginning, but it's been a really long time. The cool thing is that I can charge my car while I am in Costco so it feels like an efficient errand.

I watched a few sessions of the LA Times book festival yesterday and will watch one more on Friday. I've got to say, there are some positives to virtual events/conferences. I didn't have to drive to LA for this one! You can see the calendar of events here.

Soon I am doing my zoom with my high school friends and will admit that I did not read the book (My Brilliant Friend? My Beautiful Friend? Gosh, I can't even remember the title correctly).

I wish Goodreads had half stars. I realize that I bump up my ratings rather than lowering them when what I really want is to give half stars.
