Sunday Salon: March 14, 2021

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz runs The Sunday Salon.

I had my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday morning! The organization of 12 lanes of bumper-to-bumper cars all getting vaccines and the volunteers were amazing. Yes, I'm looking a little excited in my photo, but it's been a long time since something has given me such hope so I won't apologize. I've been thinking about where I was and what I was doing as the world shut down and realized that we were in the midst of negotiations, which quickly changed course as we talked about what remote school would look like and how to keep everyone safe.

I am working on a magic puzzle (have you heard of these?) and it is kicking my butt. No one in the house will work on it with me and it only consists of about 3 colors. I will conquer it. I highly recommend these magic puzzles. Once you finish it, you get to open a special pouch, which has a surprise inside that somehow changes the picture on the puzzle. I can't say more, but it's fun.

I finally got ahold of copies of a number of the Youth Media Award books and it's fun to read them, not really knowing what they are about as I dive in. When Stars are Scattered is excellent and I highly recommend it.

How do you keep track of the blogs you follow? I use Feedly, but am curious to see what other people do.
