My life outside books:
Work:
I haven't worked for the past week, but I go back tomorrow.

Personal:
Wow, the first week of January is already over. I've spent the week taking care of my mom who has pneumonia, beginning to read the graphic novels for the CYBILS awards, and hanging out with my daughter. Not a bad way to spend week two of my vacation.

And, we got rain last night! For southern California this is a big deal. We managed to get rain, but not so much that it triggered mudslides or debris flows. So, it's all good.

Happy New Year!
