What's going on in my life:

Ah Vegas.... I really am not a Vegas person, but when my daughter and I go for the PULSE dance convention we could be in any city. We enter the hotel, go to the room, then spend a weekend in the ballrooms (her dancing, me watching and hanging out with the other moms), then we go home.

But, PULSE is amazing! The dancers take classes from 9:00 to 3:30 Saturday and Sunday from world renown choreographers (So You Think You Can Dance, X Factor, America's Got Talent, and they choreograph for Brittany Spears, Justin Bieber, J-Lo, Beyonce and more). It is such fun to watch good teachers and dancers in action.

My daughter is front and center

Saturday night there is a dance showcase and this year my daughter's studio submitted a piece. They were one of three studios to win the Choreographer's Pick Award! That means they get to return to PULSE in Vegas this July and perform for free and we get a discount on the convention itself. The girls did a beautiful job.

During the weekend the dancers wear audition numbers and get called out if they impress the teachers. My daughter did well, getting called out in 4 of the 8 classes and she got an amazing scholarship! She gets to go the the PULSE convention in New York this summer for free (yes, I have to pay for transportation and hotel) and she gets to go to the city of her choosing free next year!

The fun part is that this year I really like the moms at the studio and we had a great time together. It bodes well for the competition season that starts up in January.
