What's going on in my personal life:
We had an insanely crazy week after Vegas. We drove home Monday, arriving around noon then at 2:30 were back in the car driving down to Westlake (about 50 minutes away) for my daughter to go to dance camp from 4:00 to 9:00. Camp was every day, but luckily we carpooled so I only drove 2 days. And the fact that she was gone from 2:30 to 10:00pm meant that I got some work and reading done.

I bought a new camera that will easily fit into my purse so that I can snap some fab shots while we're in England (we leave on Friday)!

Here's my big topic for today: ticks. In 46 years I have never seen a tick. In the past month I've taken one off my daughter's neck, 2 off my dog, and 4 off of me! My dog takes medicine so the ticks don't stick to him, instead they jump onto me. Luckily none have penetrated skin, but I am getting tick paranoid! Everyone says this is a horrible year for ticks, but really... they are gross. Do they serve a purpose in life? I think not.

What's going on with my reading:
I have had a pretty good week in the reading department, but today am having trouble starting a new book (When the Emperor was Divine by Julie Otsuka). Maybe my brain just needs a day break.
