Listening to all the Republican debates and primaries has had me thinking about my participation in politics. My first experience was in 1974 when I carrie this banner in a local parade for Gary Hart who was running for California State Assembly. I am on the left in the cute pink dress.
The funny thing is that I worked for Gary again in 1992 when he was a State Senator. I was in charge of all things to do with his constituents' issues with AIDS, Veterans Affairs, State disability, tax issues, and the environment.
