2012 Challenge--Alex Award

This challenge is hosted by Bonnie at The Story Girl and runs from January 1 through December 31, 2012. I took the text from the challenge website.

Concept:
What are the Alex Awards? The Alex Awards are given each year to books written/marketed to adults that have special appeal to young adults (age 12-18). They often feature teen protagonists.

What are the rules? It's pretty simple -- read Alex Awards winners! I will also count nominees. You can find lists here. There are four levels - 1-3 books, 4-6 books, 7-9 books, or 10+ books. You are not required to post reviews, but on January 1, 2012 I will put up a linky for participants to post their reviews.
Goal:
I am going to do the first level, 1 to 3 books. I may change that as the year progresses and do more though.

Books I hope to read:
I am going to look through the list of Alex Award books and pick out books we have in my school's library. I think it will be great to read books in this category so that I can recommend them to my students.
