Well, now it's official. As of July 20 I am 45. How the heck did that happen?! I certainly don't feel 45 and middle-aged, but maybe this is how 45 feels. So, what do you do to celebrate being 45? I'd love to say that I am doing something huge and splashy, but I'm not.
My friend Kelly and I share the same Birthday and have celebrated together almost every year since 8th grade (that's 32 years in case you're counting). She lives in Arizona, but happens to be in Santa Barbara on vacation so we're having friends and their kids (and our parents) over for a pool party. My daughter made cupcakes for us (see above).
One way to celebrate a Birthday is to give away presents, so I am giving away 3 books to 3 winners. The Three books are: The Help by Kathryn Stockett; When She Flew by Jennie Shortridge; and Women of the Silk by Gail Tsukiyama (links are to my reviews).
- This give-away is international
- Fill in the form below by Thursday, July 22
- Tell me what order you would choose the books in. First winner gets their first choice, second winner gets their first or second and the third winner gets the book that's left over

Happy Birthday! And what a sweet daughter you have for making cupcakes!
