Twit Twoooo

I've been on Twitter for about a year now, not doing much except occasionally logging in and seeing what's been tweeted most recently. But, today I spent quite a bit of time going to the websites of the book blogs I follow, finding the "Follow me on Twitter" buttons, and clicking "follow". I made some interesting discoveries along the way...

  • By and large the book blogs run by teens don't have a presence on Twitter. This isn't a huge surprise because the teens at my school aren't really into Twitter either.
  • It was really fun to visit everyone's actual blogs (I follow via my Google Reader) and check out all the side bar buttons and other details. I really need to do that more often. When I visit to comment, I tend to comment and move on, but it was fun to look around today.
So, if you aren't already, 'd love it if you follow me on Twitter. Right now I just push my blog posts, but I am going to try to do better. In order to do that I have a couple questions...
  • How do you follow Twitter? On your smart phone? Through Tweet Deck?
  • If you use Tweet Deck or some equivalent, do you just keep it open all the time on your desktop?
  • And, the big quetion: how do you not just sit at your computer all day long blogging, tweeting, and facebooking?
