Prinz Award 2009

The Printz Award is administered by the American Library Association Young Adult Library Services Association. This year's winner is Jellico Road by Melina Marchetta (the winner was announced in September, but I wasn't blogging then). I have not read Jellicoe Road (yet), but it's sitting in my school's library waiting for me.... Here's the author's acceptance speech.

The Honor Books for this year are: Nation (Pratchett); The Astonishign Life of Otavian Nothing: Volume II: the Kingdon on the Waves (Anderson); The Disreputable History of Frankie-Landau-Banks (Lockhart); and Tender Morsels (Lanagan).
