Review: Loving Frank (original post 3/6/2009)

I finished Loving Frank, by Nancy Horan and really enjoyed it! It is a debut novel and she did a fantastic job. It is well written, interesting, intriguing, and the ending is kabamb! Loving Frank is a novel about Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Borthwick, the woman with whom he had a long-time affair. Though it is a novel, the author used letters, diaries, Wright's books, etc to frame the story so the events are true, just the details of conversations and her diary entries are fiction. A definitely read for adults, but I am not sure it would interest the high school crowd.
