California Library conference

Talk about reading and book heaven...today I am off to the California School Library Association's annual conference down in Ontario, California. I plan to attend sessions that will invigorate my Library's programs, meet fun Teacher Librarians from around the state (unfortunately, credentialed Teacher Librarians are a dying breed in California), and advertise my California Read-A-Thon  (modeled after Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-Thon). Oh yeah, I may just have to buy some books and meet some authors...what a shame!

Did I mention that I'll be gone for two days? That means I have an evening to myself with no immediate in-my-vicinity responsibilities: no dog, no daughter (that part makes me sad), no parents, no school work. What will I do with myself?!
