Books read last week: I participated in the Dewey Read-a-Thon, but didn't get to devote as much time to it as I had hoped. Oh well, the books I read were good.
- Chasing Windmills by Catherine Ryan Hyde
- A Thousand Sisters by Lisa Shannon
- Ex-mas by Kate Brian
- Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris
- The Breadwinner by Deborah Ellis (my daughter is reading it aloud to me)
- Disobedience by Jane Hamilton (for my Book Group)
- Fade to Blue by Bill Moody (Suspense/Mystery Challenge)--on my computer so I am having issues getting around to reading it
The Breadwinner is my favorite in the trilogy, but you may want to read the other two, if you like this first one. I think Deborah Ellis is a wonderful writer.

Aleetha--Thank you for stopping by, I am always amazed when I see a list of books that I haven't heard of. I enjoy that too though it usually adds to my TBR list

ReplyDeleteI haven't participated in a readathon, I like the concept but know I'm lucky to find 2 hours a weekend to read and I don't want to listen for 24 hours (my ears would hurt!). :)

Mari--I don't think of the read-a-thon as 24 hours, more like 8 to 10 then it isn't so overwhelming
I have a few ebooks on my computer and feel the same as you do about getting around to them. It's so much easier to pick up a book than to stare at a screen for hours on end. Maybe I just have a mental block about this?
ReplyDeleteShirley--I got a bunch of books, mostly mysteries, from NetGalley and have read two of them, but the rest I haven't gotten to since they are on the computer. I agree, the thought of looking at the screen for a few more hours just doesn't sound too appealing. But, they are books I really want to read!
