20 Books of Summer and the Big Book Reading Challenge (2025)

I haven't participated in the 20 Books of Summer Reading challenge in several years. The challenge has new hosts: Annabel @AnnaBookBel and Emma @Words and Peace. My reading has slowed down a bit recently, so I will do my darndest to complete this challenge at the 10 level.

The idea is to read 20 (or 15 or 10) books between June 1 and August 31. There are no real rules except to try to read from your TBR shelves. I have plenty there, and it would be great to get a bunch of them read.

In addition, Sue's Big Book Summer Reading Challenge begins next weekend so I am noting which books are longer than 400 pages.

Here are the 10 books (plus a couple of bonus books) from my TBR shelves that I will do my best to complete by August 31.

  1. Everyone on this Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson DONE
  2. The Quiet Librarian by Allen Eskens DONE
  3. Great Big Beautiful Live by Emily Henry (over 400 pages)
  4. The Eights by Joanna Miller (over 400 pages)
  5. All Fours by Miranda July DONE
  6. Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
  7. The Brian Club by Kate Quinn (over 400 pages)
  8. Deep End by Ali Hazelwood (over 400 pages)
  9. Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson
  10. Holly by Stephen King (over 400 pages)
  11. American Dervish by Ayad Akhtar DONE
  12. All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker (over 400 pages)
Update: I just learned there is a bingo game to go along with 20 Books of Summer. I don't think many of my books are "summer" reads so I may not do very well on this portion of the challenge.
