Saturday Snapshot--February 5, 2011

This meme is hosted by Alyce from At Home With Books

To participate in Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and can be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All Alyce asks is that you don't post random photos that you find online.

I've recently discovered that there is a man who brings a shovel to my local beach and makes designs in the sand. I just think they are beautiful.

  1. What a beautiful picture! I love the design in the sane, it look natural, as if it belongs there. How fortunate you are to live so claose to a beautiful beach over which the sun sets and to have a "sand designs" man visit often!

    Thank you for sharing!

  2. I was going to ask you if this a real "Sign" (of the Shyamalan movie Signs fame). LOL!

That is a wonderful design and well-captured too!

  3. I love it when people make temporary art like that just for the beauty of the art.

  6. Amy, Sheila and Bev--It was really fun to watch him create one

Aths--Nope, not a real sign. Each time he does it the design is different

Alyce--Temporary art is wonderful, I like that I get to see something different each time I go down to the beach

Diane--He said he just drags the shovel through the sand, walking in circles, or squiggly directions. No meaning, just interesting

  8. It's so nice to see someone add beauty to the world. I like the angle of the sun over the sand design.
